2021 STC Election is Open

The 2021 STC Election is open and runs through 15 March at 5:00 PM EDT (GMT-5). This is your opportunity to select the future leaders of the Society!

Check your inbox and cast your vote today!

If you joined the STC or renewed your STC membership before 1 February, 2021, you are eligible to vote and should have received an email from the STC with a link and instructions to cast your ballot.

If you are an eligible STC member and did not receive voting instructions, please email stc@stc.org.

Celebrate World IA Day on February 27, 2021!

World Information Architecture (IA) Day celebrates information architecture and shares knowledge and ideas from analogue to digital, from design to development, from students to practitioners, globally and locally on February 27, 2021.

It appears there are no events in Michigan this year; however, most talks and other events around the world are virtual. Visit the World IA Day Events page for a complete listing, with links to event descriptions and registration pages.

STC 2021 Election Schedule and Slate of Candidates

The STC election is scheduled to open on 1 March and close on 15 March 2021. All STC members who have paid their dues by 31 January 2021 are eligible to vote.

The STC Nominating Committee has announced the final slate of candidates for the 2021 STC election:

President

  • Kirsty Taylor will automatically succeed from the office of Vice President.

Vice President (3 candidates for one position; three-year commitment)

Secretary

  • No elections for secretary this year

Treasurer (2 candidates for one position; two-year term)

2018–2019 Council Nominations Open through May 13

Greetings chapter members!

This is a reminder that it’s Chapter Council Election season. Voting for the 2018–2019 program year will take place May 15–31, 2018. That means nominations for Council positions are open for only a few more days.

If you’re thinking of nominating another chapter member (or yourself!) for an elected Council position, you have until the end of business on May 14 to send the nominee’s name and contact information to our Nominations Chair. Please note that candidates must be members of the STC Southeastern Michigan chapter.
